The framing is a leaked file, and STSK-249 commits to it hard: shaky angles, hospital corridors, timestamps, the sense of footage smuggled out rather than produced.
A new nurse starts at a university hospital in Tokyo, and over twenty-eight days the record accumulates — four separate victims, four separate incidents, each one a little bolder than the last.
The documentary conceit is the whole engine. The film cuts between the ward and the aftermath, treating the assaults as a case file being assembled, and the hospital setting does the rest: fluorescent light, gurneys, a linen closet with a door that doesn't quite latch, the constant risk of a pager going off mid-act.
The new nurse is the thread tying it together, green and eager and increasingly resigned to the pattern, and the four-victim structure gives the film a rising tempo instead of a flat loop — each man has his own method, his own corner of the building, his own way of making her late for rounds.
The 28-day calendar is used as punctuation, day numbers flashing between scenes, so the escalation reads as a slow siege rather than a series of one-offs. By the end she's stopped being surprised.
If you love hospital settings, fake-leak documentary framing, and a new nurse ground down over a month by four different men, STSK-249 is the file to open.
