A few drinks with a junior colleague, a small lie to the wife about a second bar, and a door he had no business walking through. That's how the husband ends up inside a high-class soapland he'd only heard about, guilt and anticipation fighting in his chest. Then the sliding door opens and the girl kneeling there is Nanami — his wife's best friend, dressed in lingerie that looks nothing like the modest woman he knows from dinner parties.
She doesn't panic. She smiles, tells him she'll drown him in her saliva, and then does exactly that, kissing him like the appointment was booked months in advance. The film is a pampering piece from start to finish, all soap-slick hands and warm water and long, unhurried kisses that make the lie feel worth it. What makes it sting is the contrast: the plain, familiar friend at the family table versus this composed, expensive version of her who knows precisely how to work a man over.
Director Masaki Nao keeps the camera close and the pace syrupy, letting the soapland's steam and the lingerie do most of the talking. By the end he's wrecked, soaked, and quietly dreading the walk home to the woman who introduced them. If the wife's-best-friend reunion is your weakness, JUR-922 is the appointment to keep.
